US broadcast network, The CW, has teamed with Warner Bros. Television and produce and beverage company, Sunkist, on a user-generated video competition that gives viewers of the primetime series, "One Tree Hill," the chance to appear in an episode of the show that will be filmed in the winner's home town. Through January 7th, viewers are being invited to submit 30-second videos (via The CW's Web site), in which they explain why their city would make a good setting for an upcoming episode of the show. Submissions will then be reviewed by The CW, Sunkist and "One Tree Hill" creator and executive producer, Mark Schwahn. Once a winner has been chosen, the show's cast and crew will travel to his or her hometown to film the episode, which will air during the show's current season, and which will feature a guest appearance by the winner. "'One Tree Hill' has always had a special relationship with its fans, and has also been very forward-thinking in blurring the lines of reality and fiction," Schwahn said in a prepared statement. "Taking the cast to the winner's hometown and putting that town and winner into the world of Tree Hill is unprecedented, and we're thankful that Sunkist is helping us make this ambitious event a reality."
