The D&AD, a UK educational charity devoted to fostering creative standards in advertising and other commercial fields, contacted [itvt] last week to let us know that it is seeking entries in the interactive TV category of its 2007 D&AD Global Awards. Now in their 45th year, the awards--which will be presented at a May 24th ceremony at the Old Billingsgate building in London--recognize achievement in a range of areas of commercial creativity. The interactive TV category is organized into three sub-categories: Interactive TV Advertising; Enhanced Interactive TV; and Interactive TV Broadcast Advertising (note: the latter sub-category is new for 2007). Entries will be judged by an international jury of interactive TV experts, led by Steven Hess, a partner at interactive agency, Weapon7. The final deadline for submitting entries is January 10th. More information on the awards and on the interactive TV category specifically can be found at D&AD Awards.
