NBC has named Vivi Zigler to the newly created position of EVP of NBC digital entertainment and new media. She will be responsible for leading the NBC.com digital team in what NBC describes as "strategic efforts to further connect NBC's primetime, late night and daytime programs to…Internet users." Zigler was previously NBC's EVP of current programs; prior to that, she served as SVP of marketing and advertising services for the NBC Agency, and also oversaw marketing and advertising for Bravo (among other things, she was in charge of marketing campaigns for "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and "Celebrity Poker"). Prior to joining NBC, she served as director of marketing and advertising at KING 5, a local TV station in Seattle, and as station manager at KSBY-TV, a local TV station in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She will report to Jeff Gaspin, president of NBC Universal cable entertainment, digital content and cross-network strategy; Stephen Andrade, NBC.com's VP of interactive development and business affairs, will report to her.
