GoTV Networks, a Southern California company which produces original programming for mobile TV and which claims to be the only mobile content provider to operate its own studio and production facility (it offers a line-up of original and licensed on-demand programming, including news, real-time sports, music and entertainment, and has license agreements in place with ABC, ESPN, Univision and other companies), has hired two new executives for what it calls its "studio team." It has named Erika Lewis VP of development and Chris Greenleaf VP of comedy and entertainment. "The development and production of made-for-mobile content takes a unique set of skills and thinking beyond traditional media," Daniel Tibbets, EVP of GoTV Studios, said in a prepared statement. "As seasoned executives, Erika and Chris have the capabilities to bring programming for mobile distribution to new heights."
In her new role, Lewis will be responsible for developing new channels and brands for the company, and for creating original content for its existing channels. She was previously VP of development at The Tom Lynch Company, where she was responsible for all feature and television development, including scripted, reality and animated programming. Prior to that, she worked with Tibbets at 20th Television, developing such first-run series as "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest" and "Ambush Makeover." She also worked with Tibbets at Fireworks Television, developing such scripted programs as "Andromeda," "Mutant X" and "The Strange Days at Blake Holsey High."
In his new role, meanwhile, Greenleaf will spearhead the relaunch and rebranding of GoTV's comedy channel. He will also oversee the creation of original programming both internally and within the creative community, and will be charged with seeking new properties to license. He was most recently president and CEO of Arcadia Pictures, a film and television consulting company. His career prior to that includes stints working in development with high-profile shows and major networks, such as CBS, NBC, USA Networks and Comedy Central. According to GoTV, he was instrumental in the development and production of "South Park." He also served as EVP of development at Triage Entertainment and as manager for development at CBS/Eyemark Entertainment.
