Tandberg Television Reports Higher Revenues and Profits

Tandberg Television–the company which over the past year or so has purchased VOD infrastructure provider, N2 broadband, interactive TV technology and services provider, GoldPocket Interactive, and IPTV content delivery company, SkyStream Networks–has released its second-quarter financial results:

  • Revenues totaled $100.1 million, compared to $71.2 million for the year-ago quarter.
  • Operating profit was $18.9 million, compared to $12.2 million for the year-ago quarter.
  • Pre-tax profit was $21.3 million, compared to $12.2 million for the year-ago quarter.
  • Gross margin was 58.2%, compared to 55.1% for the year-ago quarter.
  • Cash balance at the end of the quarter was $95.7 million, which included net cash income from operations of $8.2 million (down from $13 million in the year-ago quarter). Net cash inflow for the quarter was $6.3 million.
  • As of June 30th, the company’s assets totaled $538.5 million, with an equity ratio of 84%. Total shares outstanding at the end of the quarter were 80,529,876.

While the company did not provide any specific guidance for the current quarter, it said that it "continues to be "encouraged by a further quarter of top-line growth, solid gross margins and profitability."
