The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has elected Yvette Kanouff, SVP of strategic planning at VOD and interactive TV technology provider, SeaChange International, chairman of its board of directors for a second consecutive year. Kanouff, who has also served as director-at-large for the standards-setting body, is the SCTE’s first-ever female chair. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and is an executive member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT). "Yvette is a consummate broadband television professional with a focus on standards and a true champion of on-demand television," SeaChange president and CEO, Bill Styslinger, said in a prepared statement. "SeaChange began with the premise that television was going to change dramatically. We are extremely proud to have had Yvette’s leadership to help us bring this vision to reality in the service of our customers."
