Tandberg Television–the company which over the past year of so has purchased VOD infrastructure provider, N2 broadband, interactive TV technology and services provider, GoldPocket Interactive, and IPTV content delivery company, SkyStream Networks–has named Emmanuel Boureau VP of sales for the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEA) region. A native of France, Boureau–who will report to Tandberg’s EMEA president, Eric Baron, and who will be based in the company’s EMEA headquarters in Southampton, UK–will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s direct and indirect sales channels in the region, targeting satellite, cable, terrestrial and IPTV operators with the company’s line-up of compression, VOD and interactive TV products. Boureau joins Tandberg after an eight-year stint at Harmonic, where he served most recently as European director of sales and pre-sales. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Digital Equipment Corp. and sales engineering positions at ITT Data Systems. He graduated from the Institut Superieur de Commerce de Paris in 1983.
