Moshe Lichtman has resigned as head of Microsoft’s Microsoft TV division. According to Microsoft, his resignation is for family reasons: he is returning to his native Israel, but will continue to work for the company. His replacement is Enrique Rodriquez, who will hold the title, corporate vice president of Microsoft TV. Rodriquez was previously VP of Xbox partnerships, in which role, according to Microsoft, he was a "key contributor" to the launch of its Xbox and Xbox 360 products and services, and led the team that guided the expansion of the Xbox 360 platform into non-gaming entertainment applications. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2003, Rodriquez spent around 20 years at Thomson/RCA, serving in a variety of engineering and executive roles–most recently as EVP of broadband access products, responsible for the company’s set-top box, DSL and cable modem activities focused on telcos and cable and satellite operators.
