IPTV technology and services provider, Eagle Broadband, has appointed Brian Morrow to the newly created post of general manager of its IPTV Solutions Division. Morrow will assume overall management and profit and loss responsibility for the division, which includes the company’s MediaPro IP set-top box product line and IPTVComplete, the "turnkey," end-to-end IPTV solution it offers in partnership with satellite company, GlobeCast. Morrow joins the company from Analytical Surveys, where he served as president and COO. Prior to that, he served as a management consultant to a number of early-stage start-ups in the communications technology space: among other things, he served as interim CEO of handheld voice and data communications company, Peerseeker, and as interim VP of business development at VoIP PBX solutions provider, NetSapiens. Prior to his stint as a consultant, Morrow served as president and COO of Endeavors Technology, a Java and .NET Web services start-up that was subsequently acquired by UK-based Tadpole Technology. His 25-year career also includes, among other senior management positions, a stint as director and general manager of component-based development for the software division of Texas Instruments, where, according to Eagle, he launched the company’s enterprise software business. He holds a BS in computer science from Dalhousie University and an MBA in finance from the University of Ottawa.
