Interactive TV agency, Weapon7, has created a video-rich interactive TV ad for wireless carrier T-Mobile’s new "Web ‘n’ Walk" mobile Internet offering. Viewers who press the red button during the linear TV commercial for the offering can watch video of TV presenter, Caroline Flack, demonstrating the benefits of Web ‘n’ Walk to people on the streets of London’s Covent Garden, and can also find out more information on the service and the range of mobile phones that support it. The ad presents viewers with three video windows, which simultaneously display each interview in close up, the situation of the interview, and a shot of the screen of Flack’s mobile phone as she demo’s the service. The ad’s video footage was directed by Jeremy Dunn of production company Toast, and, according to Weapon7, is inspired by the editing style of TV dramas such as "24" and "Spooks." "The people stopped and interviewed for the spot include a tourist, someone buying for a Stag party, two friends having a bet and a guy looking to make an apology to his girlfriend after staying out all night," Weapon7 strategic partner, Mark Brown, said in a prepared statement. "Only with digital TV could we really engage the audience by allowing them to select areas that are important to them. After participating, we believe that that the viewer will be convinced of the benefits of the new service."
