The UK's largest commercial terrestrial broadcaster, the Independent Television Network (generally known by the acronym, "ITV"), has combined its online and interactive TV teams under its recently formed consumer division. The broadcaster has also made a number of new executive appointments in the consumer division: Jane Marshall, who was previously controller of ITV Interactive, has been named commercial development director; Kevin Gooding, who joins the company from broadband ISP, Bulldog, has been named product development director; and Rob Hobson, who was previously in ITV's business development department, has been appointed as business analyst. ITV is currently seeking a controller for the consumer division. The division--which is headed up by Jeff Henry, former CEO of the Hallmark Channel (he reports to ITV's CEO, Charles Allen)--is tasked with developing strategies for distributing ITV's programming on multiple digital platforms, including interactive TV, the Web, mobiles and VOD systems.
