MSO Comcast has appointed Sue Rynn as VP of advanced platform sales for its Comcast Network Sales (CNS) division. CNS oversees advertising sales for Comcast's national networks, including E! Entertainment Television, Style Network, G4, Outdoor Life Network, AZN, PBS Kids Sprout, and Select On Demand, and also collaborates with the Golf Channel's ad sales team. According to Comcast, Rynn-- who began in her new position on June 27th and who reports to CNS's VP of integrated sales, Tom Prigoda--will initially work with the CNS advertising team to develop new advertising opportunities on VOD for Comcast's networks, and will also work on advertising for emerging technologies such as interactive TV, PVR and targeted advertising. Rynn was most recently VP of advertising sales development at Time Warner Cable, responsible for implementing interactive advertising features on that company's now-defunct network PVR project, Mystro TV. She has also held executive positions in advertising research and development at iN DEMAND, ReplayTV, Lifetime Television, and News Corp.
